mmmm..some of the amazing inventions/re-inventions of the koreans is:

ice cream in a squirt bottle, great for when you just need ice cream on the go
or just don't want to do your dishes

i'm loving it.

and the intimidating, but very delicious:
fries on a stick! It's like a corn dog..except, instead of corn batter around a hot dog...it's a mound of fries...and did i mention...IT'S ON A STICK?!?!?!

here we have the infamous engrish.
mmmm....delicious marine products.....
I did later go to another restaurant and ordered the chives and marine products pancake haha
i just couldn't help it

Another infamous dish that i had was dog....

......... haha! i'm just kidding....
I have yet to try the dog dish (or yet to see one)...although i have seen those roasted bugs/maggot "snacks"
the smell's...interesting
and no, i did not and am not planning to try it.
This dog, on the other hand, is safe from the chopping block (literally)
we found him roaming around his owner's store and we thought he looked awesome..
like a lion. a canine leo
yeee

And some misc. pictures from my past weekend with Lauren and Erin (yes, some of my promised pictures)

A little girl in traditional garbs, ruined by the modern ice cream haha

Here's Lauren and I, yet again, misinterpreting another Korean's attempt to communicate a message.
But I must say: the demand for freedom and interpreting it as "look up there!" is somewhat close....

here's Erin, Lauren and I desecrating a Korean national treasure by our presence:

Here's Erin and I getting a little more raunchy while Lauren jumps out of the way b/c she had something called "self-respect" ...while the surrounding Koreans laughed at our ugly, yet strangely erotic affections.

Funny story:
While walking around Insadong, we heard a commotion,
so we went over to the crowd and found a bunch of people doing some traditional Korean dance and drumming...
we thought the old man, who was dancing in the middle of the circle as part of the show....
Until we saw some security guards grab him.
haha, he really did look like part of the scene.
And he was jammin' like it was 1999...err...i mean...999(?)

We later asked if we could take a picture of him
and he gladly obliged our request by posing

Another drunken friend of his demanded we take a picture of him too...and...
as you can see... we couldn't quite say 'no'

So yes, an entry without much substance
but with much visuals.
A think it's a decent trade off :)

now now, no need to be all bitter.
but the ice creams in a squeeze bottle is SO convenient.
